RN/LPN Open House



Are you interested in becoming a registered nurse or a licensed practical nurse?
Here is your chance!

The New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation is offering Nursing School scholarships for low income New Yorkers. Training leads to work in an HHC facility.

Program criteria RN:
-Must have HS Diploma/ GED
-Attend information session
-Pass college entrance exams
-Have at least 3.0 GPA
-Must meet income eligibility requirements

Program criteria LPN:
-Must have HS Diploma/ GED
-Attend information session
-Pass CNET (Center for Nursing Education and Training) entrance exam
-Score at least 11.0 in reading and 10.5 in math on the TABE
-Must meet income eligibility requirements

*Understand the process of finding a job
*How to interview for a job
*What to do after the interview
*How to maintain your job
*Learn common acceptable codes of behavior and work ethics to practice in the workplace

CPC Career Center

To help job seekers find work, the CPC Workforce Development Division has created a Career Center. The CPC Career Center provides employment placement services, which includes personalized assessment, career counseling, career development workshops, and job referrals. Job seekers also could use our self-help public access areas, such as our phones, fax machines, photocopiers and personal computers to conduct job search.
